mentis vs teens connect logo

Teens Connect is a program of Mentis that supports the mental health and wellness of teens in Napa County. Our inclusive group of compassionate youth serve as mental health advocates in our community, engage in projects that promote wellness, support one another, and speak out about issues that are important to young people.

OUR PROGRAMS

empower youth · support mental health · cultivate leadership · foster creativity · nourish connections · spread awareness · promote volunteerism · encourage kindness

HISTORY

Teens Connect was founded in 2016 after Napa County tragically lost two teenagers to suicide. After successfully collaborating with Mentis for several years, the two organizations merged in 2020. Today, Teens Connect is a cornerstone program of Mentis, which now offers a complete continuum of mental health care to people of all ages.

Mentis Academy – Inspiring the Next Generation of Mental Health Leaders

Mentis Academy is a free, 5-week summer program for Napa County teens, open by application to rising 11th and 12th graders who are curious about careers in mental health and the nonprofit world. Each Thursday in July, a small cohort of up to six students will dive deep into the work we do here at Mentis, from clinical therapy and supportive housing to prevention, education, and fundraising, through immersive department experiences, real conversations with staff, and guided career planning.
Participants will leave the program with a clearer sense of who they are, what they care about, and what it takes to build a meaningful career in the helping professions.
Applications are open through May 29th.
