What You Do Our Early Learning Programs at Community Resources for Children serve children ages 0-5 and their parents and caregivers. Our programs and services include the Active Minds School Readiness Program, the Toy Library and Early Learning Center, as well as developmental screenings.
More Info Active Minds is a six-week program that engages parents/caregivers and their children ages 2-4 in hands-on activities designed to promote school readiness skills through play. Active Minds is offered in-person by an early learning specialist in English and Spanish. Priority for enrollment is given to dual language learners and children who have not previously participated in an early learning program, such as child care or preschool.
Our Toy Library and Early Learning Center is a place for families to participate in free play and borrow toys to use at home. Our collection of early learning materials is organized by developmental domain and age and caters to children ages 0-5. We are open on a drop-in basis, no registration required!
Developmental screenings are tools that help you quickly and easily learn more about your child’s development and how to continue supporting his/her growth. Screenings can be completed via phone, Zoom or in-person. Once the screening is completed, our staff will share the results with you along with a tailored list of recommended activities for you to do at home.
