Napa County Office of Education
The Napa County Office of Education serves students and families in Napa County through partnerships with our school districts, and innovative approaches to learning. We provide academic services and enrichment opportunities for students, teachers and the community. Our programs for teens include ACE Middle School After School program, Camille Creek Community School, Foster & Homeless Youth Education Services, Heron Lake Challenge ROPES Course, Safe Routes to School, Mariposa Girl Empowerment program and Tobacco/Vaping Use Prevention Education.
Napa County Library
Napa County Library offers many different resources to help teens gain access to information, materials, and experiences for educational or personal enjoyment. In addition to books, media, and other physical materials, dedicated staff is available to education on databases, find needed resources, offer fun activities, provide guidance to volunteers, and book recommendations upon request. Most important to the Teen Librarian is to help teens (and their parents) feel happy and safe using the library and the dedicated teen space.
Napa County Resource Conservation District
Napa RCD provides a variety of youth programs, from in-school programs and internships to extracurricular volunteer opportunities in the environment and conservation fields. Many opportunities are focused around oak restoration and waterway cleanups.
Napa County 4-H
The Napa County 4-H program promotes hands-on, experiential learning for all youth ages 5-19. 4-H projects are focused around citizenship, healthy living, and STEM.
Napa Wildlife Rescue
Youth over 18 can join our regular volunteer program. Our Youth program is for those under 18. Due to federal law, those under 18 cannot care for native birds, but you can assist with care for younger squirrels and opossums, pigeons, and select birds. Other duties are food prep, laundry, dishes, cage cleaning, gardening, landscaping, and repair work. Those volunteers aged 12-15 need to come with a supervising adult who takes the same training and volunteers at the same time as you. Once you are 16, you can be dropped off.
Napa Valley CanDo
We connect, inspire, and empower neighbors by making it easy to take positive action as volunteers and to learn about our community.
